Leaving Certificate 2022 Applied Mathematics Higher Level

Here is my attempt at this year’s paper (note this was done before the Marking Scheme was released so excuse any slips and do let me know 🙂 ) also I’ll be working on it over the next few days when I have a moment here or there.

Latest PSI Licence:

“Contains Irish Public Sector Information licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence”.

Important Exception to the above Licence:

The State Examination Commission is the copyright holder which is providing the material under the above license (as per current directives and regulations from the relevant government bodies). However the State Examination Commission as an Irish examination body is able to use copyrighted material in its exams without infringing copyright but this right is not extended to third parties when those exams are re-used.

(For example: the State Examination Commission may include in their exam a copyrighted poem and this action does not require the permission of the poet but the poet’s permission must be sought when the exam is re-used by someone other than the State Examination Commission.)

Also, all derived and related work (such as video solutions, lessons, notes etc) are the copyrighted material of Stephen Easley-Walsh (unless stated otherwise). And that the above licence is for only the exam itself and nothing further.

Stephen is an absolute gentleman and master of his craft. He helped me achieve the level required in maths to start my degree course in electronic engineering having been away from education for 25 years. I can't thank him enough and would recommended him to anyone looking for help with maths.

Stephen is one of the best teachers I have ever encountered. His patience, encouraging nature and ability to motivate has yet to be matched by anyone else. I was part of the 2021 leaving cert class and yes, it was a hard hard year all around. I started feeling buried in my maths work and all the tests we had weekly but Stephen helped me manage everything I needed to get done, either study for tests, complete my homework or explain maths problems I've always had a difficulty with. I could not reccomend his grinds more. Stephen puts so much of himself into helping his students and actually cares to see them improve and become more confident in their maths skills. I could have never done it without him. 1000/10 would reccomend so if you're thinking about it, I'd take up his grinds classes again in a heartbeat :))
